Printing on Foamex
With a smooth surface that's optimised for printing, PVC Foamex is a robust sheet material which is durable and offers superior resistance to knocks and scratches. It's also resistant to both moisture and mold.
PVC Foamex offers 3-4 times the density and strength when compared with polystyrene core foamboards. Printed uses include POS and 3D displays, Shop fitting, Exhibition stands, Fabrication, Signage and much more..

Our full Foamex sheets are 2440 x 1220mm in size.
Our Direct to Media (DTM) Printer can cover this whole area however a border of approx 10mm around the edge must be left to allow for us to tape boards to the print bed.
Can you cut Foamex prints to custom shapes?
We can arrange custom cutting for you using our local CNC partners. Get in touch for more.
How does direct to media printing work?
Our Direct to Media (DTM) Printer prints from above, so it's important that surfaces are flat to produce the best images.
This means edges must be secured down with tape, reducing the print area by approx 20mm in length and width.
The printer uses UV LED curable ink which is weather resistant and dries instantly.
Can I print both sides?
Yes you can! Whether you'd like your ultraboard printed with the same artwork or different, that's no problem at all.
Fixing and application of printed Ultraboard.
The lightweight profiles of Foamex make the fixing and application of them really easy using self-adhesive edging.
Since they have a strong core, they can also be drilled for string hanging.
Printing with Varnish and White inks.
We print using 10 coloured inks. Two of these include Varnish and White.
Printing with White means we can produce vibrant images on even the darkest of substrates. We do this by laying a white base down first.
The Varnish print head is also a fantastic addition. The Varnish layer can bring textural and spot gloss elements to your projects and at the same pass that the ink is laid.
